Clair McGinley Faloona A.D.C.R.G

Clair was the first of the McGinley sisters to receive her teaching qualification from the Irish dance Commission in Dublin, Ireland. In 1994 she began to teach a small group of beginners and the McGinley Academy was established.

Clair has been involved in the Irish Dance community for almost 30 years. She has held the title of Eastern Canadian Oireachtas champion and enjoyed great successes as a solo and team dancer both nationally and internationally.

In 2002, Clair passed the rigorous adjudicator’s examination and now enjoys adjudicating throughout North America.

Clair has been actively involved with the Irish Dance Teachers Association of Canada holding the position of Corresponding Secretary on the Executive Board.

Eileen McGinley Watson A.D.C.R.G

Eileen has been involved in the Irish Dance community for the past 25 years. She enjoyed great successes as a solo and team dancer, having numerous national and international Irish dance titles to her credit. For 7 years Eileen held the prestigious title of Eastern Canadian Champion and qualified each year to compete in the World Championships held in Ireland.

Eileen is a fully accredited teacher and adjudicator qualified by the Irish Dancing Commission in Dublin, Ireland and has taught dancers in the Ontario and Florida locations. As a respected teacher and adjudicator in the dance community, Eileen is often asked to judge at competitions throughout North America.

In 1999, Eileen was elected by her dance colleagues to serve on the Irish Dance Teachers Association of Canada Executive Board as Treasurer. She is currently a member of both the Irish Dance Teachers Association of Eastern Canada and the Southern Region U.S.A.

Roisin McGinley T.C.R.G.

Roisin McGinley followed in the footsteps of her sisters when she began dancing at the age of 3. She too, as her sisters before her, held the title of Eastern Canadian Region Oireachtas Champion. She retired from competitive dancing in 2000 after a final successful year on the dance circuit placing 4th at the All-Irelands, 5th at the Worlds, and 3rd at the North American National Championships.

As a recognized champion, Roisin then went on to tour with Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance. She was a member of North America’s Troupe II for three years and performed throughout Canada, North America and South America.

In 2002, Roisin received her teaching qualifications from the Irish Dance Commission in Dublin, Ireland. She is a welcome addition to the teaching team at the McGinley Academy!
